unemployment numbers are the best they have ever been by far. we have almost 160 million people working today in the united states and that is more than we have ever had working and our country before. we are doing well on trade, we are doing well with china, things are going good, and i am bringing the first lady right now. she has worked very hard on the opioid crisis. we are down 17% from last year which is pretty amazing. we are down 17% with the opioid problem. it is a big addiction. we are handling it. ,he doctors are working with us the labs are working, the clinics are working, the pharmaceutical companies are working with us, and we have made a tremendous amount of progress. and transparent president administration in the country by far. we just went through the mueller witchhunt where you had 18 angry democrats that hate president trump. they hate him with a passion. they were contributing in many cases to hillary clinton. hate him with a passion. no they came up with obstruction. said on the general information, there is no obstruction. so you have no collusion, no obstruction. now we are finished with it and i thought after two years, we be finished with it. no, now the house goes and start subpoenaing. assume, for $35 million a check to my financials -- which are great, by the way. you know they are great.
2:37 pm
they checked my financials and they checked my taxes i assume. it was the most thorough investigation probably in the history of our country. i think i read where they interviewed 500 people. i say it is enough. get back to infrastructure. get back to cutting taxes. get back to lowering drug prices. that is what we should be doing. [reporters talking over each other] pres. trump: we are fighting all of the subpoenas. the democrats are trying to win 2020. they are not going to win with the people that i see, and they are not going to win against me. the only way they can may be is by out, -- luck out, constantly going after me on nonsense. but they should be really

focused on legislation, not the litigatedhat has been for the last two years almost since i got into office. if you want to litigate, go after the dnc, go get hillary, the dirty cops -- all of these things, that is what should be litigated because that was a rigged system. i am breaking down the slot. if you look at what is happening -- down the swamp. if you look at what is happening, they are getting caught and they are getting fired. if you look at drain the swamp, i am draining the swamp. thank you. there was ample evidence that the president and his associates have committed crimes. , through theeport investigation, has already indicted over 30 of the president's close associates and friends. his campaign chairman is in prison right now while we are eating breakfast. so don't tell me there is not enough to discuss about impeachment. frankly, i think our party made a mistake by waiting until now hoping for a smoking cannon or something in the mueller report before starting this debate. congress does two things. we debate and we vote. the debate is important. and we should have started the debate a while ago. i do not think the time is now for a vote because we still do not have all of the evidence. we do not have the full mueller report, for example. but we should have started this debate a while ago and that is called for afor --
